The Oak Grove Historical Society met Nov 15, 2008 in the Davis Center. The minutes were read and approved. Treasurer reported a balance of $5,228.13. Arrangements were finalized for the "ye Ole Christmas" open house to be held Dec 20th, 2-6 p.m. at the Davis Center.
Wallace Johnson's sleigh may have to be outside as it is doubtful it will fit through the doors of the building. Bryan, Wallace and others will check. Becky Pigg Ogden will donate her time as the photographer. Kelly Johnson will be our Santa again from 2-4 p.m. Decorating will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 20th. Musical entertainment is scheduled. All members should bring two dozen cookies for refreshments and may also bring baked goods and craft items to sell. Karen Findley and Mary Turner will set up the refreshment table.
Wallace Johnson brought items from Lynda Owings' family and others to show the group. Bryan Hord read a story written by Lynn Owings.
