The Oak Grove Historical Society met September 19, 2009 at the Davis Center.
Vice-President Pat Lewis announced that there would be no business meeting to give time to our guest speaker, Mr. Armin William Schannuth, a railroad historian. There were a couple of announcements to be made before the presentation. Karen Findley explained that the 2009 Christmas Ornaments had arrived. They would be selling for $10 each. It was suggested that members pay cash for the ornaments they took to sell. Pat Lewis asked for a volunteer to coordinate the list of auction items and advertisements for the auction. Joyce McCrander, CeCe Morgan and Barbara Griffith have volunteered to coordinate the ads and auction items.
CeCe Morgan reported to the secretary that the balance in the checking account was $6990.89.
Louise Shore is to write thank you notes to Mr. Schannuth and send a thank you note as well as a contribution to the Speakers Bureau of the Missouri Historical Society.
