Vice-President Bryan Hord presided. Bryan reported that President Karen Findley would visit Jackson County Historical Society
to find a photo of the Oak Grove Railroad Depot. The photo is needed for the society's 2008 Christmas ornament. Karen will also
renew the historical society's CD's.
Bryan will meet with Carol Robinson concerning some of Anna Robinson's historical articles.
Greg McLallen spoke to the group about the Quantrill Era and displayed numerous artifacts he has found and collected.
He also displayed a Springfield 1847 rifle. The rifle was in Lawrence, KS at the time of the raid.
Members were ask to locate any local Quantrill history connected with Oak Grove families for the Quantrill meeting to be held in
October in Oak Grove.
